By day I am a representative of an evil credit card company and I get suspicious when you say I need to waive your late fee because you have a disease that will cause your limbs to fall off in a year. By night I consume mass amounts of fiction that involves people stabbing and shooting things. Sometimes they also run into each other’s arms.

I am full of many contradictions, many of which get me odd looks, and I have many opinions, which I voice regularly.

I like romance but am not very into shipping, and seem to have reached the point where I find it difficult to care one way or the other about fanon, shipping, slash, and the wars that go with them. I am a spoilerphobe. With a very few exceptions, I follow anime and manga in licensed form only, and am generally months behind the rest of any kind of fandom.

I am a feminist and not really interested in why you think it’s wrong to see something as sexist or have a problem with how gender is represented. Especially if your reasoning is that that’s just the way society is, or what people are used to, or how it’s not important in this one thing, because that isn’t something that’s really important. I am anti-racist and still working on my white privilege. I’m as interested in explanations with how something doesn’t have a problem with racism as I am with how it doesn’t have a problem with sexism.

I used to friend randomly and automatically friend anyone who friended me who had common interests and wasn’t a troll, but my reading list has gotten so large that I can’t do that anymore. Anyone can friend me or comment, though. I welcome discussion, even if it’s off topic, and even disagreement, as long as it’s respectful.

I have ADD and am prone to voicing the neuroses influenced by it openly. I am obsessively organized because it’s that or absolute chaos.

I post a lot and have an enormous backlog of books, manga and comics that never seems to get any smaller. I tend to be drawn to female characters more than male characters, though I’m pretty fond of both, and am often mystified by the popularity of the favored woobie in most fandoms.
