Oh, trust me, I don't particularly think it's unwarranted! It just amuses me because Clare has 2 main modes. The first is "rush headlong into something likely to get me killed without truly considering the consequences." The second is "think straight and come up with killer if possible suicidal strategy, but actually be pretty mature and competent about it, in my unique way." In general, I think, she tends to fall into the latter more, unless certain things are involved. Helen and Deneve, though, always expect her to be in the former.
