Farscape 4.2-4.3
*sigh*
So, there I was, all prepped to love Graza...and then, naturally, they make her a rapist. In her first real go at being the main villain. Mind you, I view what Scorpius did to John as rape, too, but, unlike Graza, I don't think the show views it as rape, and his villainy certainly didn't revolve around his having given up part of his lifespan to be a sexual controller.
On the other hand, JOOL! Jool being happy and bouncy and gleeful and indulging in archeological geekery and being happy to have her convicts back. The bit with Chiana, Jool and Shikozu in the jail is my favorite part of this season so far. Then again, 4.3 is the first episode of the season I've actually mostly liked.
The Jool/D'Argo thing doesn't really work for me unless I assume they're using each other as replacements for Chiana, I have to admit. I'm really not big on "ZOMG! SUBTEXT!" but it gets really hard at times to not assume Chiana and Jool had something going on. (Did you SEE the body language and hip lingering in the goodbye scene? I had to doublecheck what I was seeing.)
This arc also pretty much sold me on Shikozu. Nothing like my instant love for Jool, and I still glare at "Let's switch one bitchy redhead for another!" but she'll do.
Also, can someone tell me if Aeryn's absence is because of the plot, or because of something going on with Claudia Black?
