So according to the introduction of the copy of The Tale of Genji that I have, it:
1. Has possibly half of the actual book.
2. Is heavily edited for "accessibility."
Anyone want to rec their preferred (and in print) edition?
(I'm familiar with the basics but have never actually read it, and would rather read the full thing. Though, I say the same thing about Clarissa, whose length scares even me...)
