So, is it just me, or did the last episode of Yu Yu Hakusho randomly transform from 90s shounen to 90s shoujo, artstyle and all?  There was even a cascade of sparkles at the end.  (They pretended it was the sun glittering off the waves, but I know shoujo sparkles when I see them.  Possibly, the last set of ending credits was a hint.

Also, you could kind of tell when the anime stopped following Togashi's manga.  Things got way more conventional and less "ZOMG!  Symbolic love child of Tite Kubo and Clamp's combined Ids!" and the number of female fighters went from about 1 to 8.  9While simultaneously mangaing to have women around a bit less?  I don't know!)

I love the part in the manga where he's like 'I love you!' as she walks away and she's like 'yeah, yeah, I love you too.' DONE DEAL. OLD NEWS. Have you read to the end?
