You may or may not have noticed that I've been posting less than usual lately. This is partly because this week has been hectic and having lots of extra things going on, and partly because I've been working of icons for femslah_land's Big Bang.

You know what the hard part of Big Bang is? Probably surprisingly, not making icons of men/including the men. Yes, I hear you going "but Megan, at least 2/3 of the icons you make don't have men anyway!" But the thing is, that isn't deliberate. When I cap things, I just kind of automatically cap at "Pretty!" or "Like!" and only consciously do or don't cap if I don't care for the character, or its my favorite character. Then when I make icons from my caps, I'm usually not inclined to icon something that I've seen a number of icons from. (Like Vampire Diaries. Bonnie is my favorite. Bonnie is pretty. Bonnie is fandom's least favorite, and there are fewer icons of her. I don't like Damon. Damon is pretty. Damon is fandom's favorite, and icons including him probably outnumber all other icons in the fandom. I like Katherine. Katherine is pretty. Fandom adores Katherine, and makes tons of icons from her limited screen time. Therefore, I make lots of Bonnie icons, very few Damon icons, and a smallish but decent number of Katherine icons.)

Anyway, it's also far more time consuming than it should be, because I'm going through all my unused caps and cropping and saving them for future icons as I go along.

One of the things going on this week is the Adult Literacy Council annual booksale. Fewer books than previous years, but I've picked up a good number of books, including some with the potential to be Awesomely Bad Books. Like this one.
