I am reading Marjorie Liu's newest Dirk & Steele book.  I'm only 12 pages in, so all I can really tell you is that the dude is a silver merman.  Yes, a silver merman. 

Anyway, a little while ago, my father wandered in, saw the cover, blinked, looked again, and then walked away very quickly.

Possibly, he is sheltered.
