Sadly, after the series went on the whole time about how she was a blacksmith's daughter whose lifelong goal was to be a knight and how even at a young age she was the best swords (wo)man in Camelot, at the end she has apparently given up on being a knight and is happy being Hero's wife/a blacksmith like her father, something that she adamantly didn't want before that. (The blacksmith part. Presumably, she was ok with the getting married part as long as he wasn't going to expect her to sit around mending his clothes all day.)
Note that the MALE blacksmith's apprentice becomes the new lord of Camelot.
