Sword Stained With Royal Blood MV

I've been saving Sword Stained With Royal Blood MVs to my youtube favorites in preparation for a vidspam post when I watch, but now that the DVDs are on their way, I'm getting overeager, so here's a light and cute MV from the show.

    

 

I'll actually probably end up watching this before Young Warriors, depending on whether or not Sword is here by the time I finish Yoshitsune, largely because A) It's shorter, and B) It ends happily and from what calixasays, YW ends in another Hu Ge drama angstfest.

TOMOE GOZEN!!!

Tomoe Gozen just showed up in Yoshitsune.  Why her arrival surprised me, I don't know, as the years add up.

Tomoe Gozen is one of the few true female warrior samurai in Japanese history.  She's also the basis for the character of Tomoe Ame in Usagi Yojimbo, and is a (relatively small) character in Samurai Deeper Kyo(and, once her true identity is revealed, portrayed rather accurately.)  Amusingly, SDK is set shortly after the Battle of Sekigahara and the world of UY is based on the time period(Usagi himself is based on Miyamoto Musashi) a period over 400 years AFTER Tomoe Gozen lived and died...

Today was Annihilation: Conquest Day.  Annihilation: Conquest day is a good an happy day.  Until one made me sad, and then I made Deadpool and the GLI cheer me up.
