The Rachel-Aaron scene confused me, too but I do think it was something along the lines of Aaron not believing her initial explanation so she wrote it all out as a way of convincing him. IDK...that's the only way it makes sense with the timeline because it had definitely been at least a week, if not several, between episodes.
