I wish they had done this scene differently, especially after having Holmes NOT pressure the first time. It would've been a nice continuation of Holmes/consent, starting with his proposal to Joan.
Since S1 is about dismantling the idea of Holmes as the one-and-only genius, as well as the idea that intellectual reasoning is superior to kindness and consideration of oneself and other people’s emotions and connections, S2 should be about Watson and what makes her tick. I want her to learn to be a better friend to Carrie, as much as Sherlock has learned to be a friend to Joan. Among other things.
