.....ew, that sounds like Faro's Daughter without the awesome. Because Deborah tying Max up in the basement politely was genuinely the best thing ever.

Also, A Natural History of Dragons is definitely getting a sequel. I follow the author (er, on LJ) and she talks about working on it pretty frequently.
