I loved Death Note so so much up to Vol 7 or so. When L died, it just begun to seem way too complex and pointless. That's a biased L-fan opinion but honestly, it's difficult to follow a manga with a protagonist who isn't a protagonist - or even particularly interesting to me. I liked Near but the L-love couldn't be replaced so I just read spoilers and then the last chapters.
