Ah, but POT still had that "Robin was Marian's TWU LUV" syndrome that didn't allow it to be realistic when it came to Marian being a widow. It would have made sense that the character who was her brother in the movie should have been her husband instead. Then it would have made perfect sense that she was that old and would have a connection to Robin.
The problem with POT is that they don't really commit. Robin doesn't look like he's having any fun, the Sheriff looks like he's out of another movie entirely, Will seems to have dropped in from an angsty teen movie somewhere, and there are druids running around. They just didn't pick something and stick with it. Michael Praed's version of Robin at least looks like he's having fun helping the poor and sticking it to the Sheriff.
