Sleepy Hollow 2.1

Now that's how you do a season premiere. Mostly.

-I really hope this episode isn't indicative of what Katrina will be up to this season. (I mean, surely she isn't going to be tied to a chair with Abraham...courting? (Ok, yeah, that's definitely what he thinks he's doing....) her creepily. But, I mean, the pilot set the course for her last season. (I don't dislike Katrina and strongly dislike the levels of hate she gets in some areas, but I feel very awkward about my disinterest in her, but there's just...nothing to latch on to, really. I really hope it changes, for the actress's sake, if nothing else.)

-I assumed the "year later" thing was fake (either a trick or a vision of a future they'd spend the season trying to avoid) but didn't expect them to find out that early.

-Obscure history trivia! (Yuppers, Franklin was a nudist.)

-Ichabod, stop trying to win against technology. It's not happening.

-It takes Ichabod a whole season to get Katrina out of purgatory and it's the emotional equivalent of "Hey, it's been a while,' but it takes 1.33 episodes to get Abbie out and there's hugging and multiple epic speeches about it. I think the network keeps forgetting to tell the writers who the Official Epic OTP is. Or, well, anyone in the show. (Another reason I feel bad for Katia Winter, TBH.)

-I'm still holding out for that revelation that Ichabod was one of the witnesses 200 years ago, but Abbie and Jenny are the witnesses of the current era.

-HUGGING HUGGING HUGGGGGIIIIINNNNNGGGGGGGG!!! Especially Abbie/Jenny.

-No word of Irving at all?

-Other shows should watch this episode on repeat for how too have female characters react to being Damsel in Distressed.)

-Speaking of which, PRONUNCIATION. SO VERY IMPORTANT.

-Also speaking of which, Andy totally wrote thousands of Andy/Abbie fics while in the sewer, and is trying very very hard to get his romance novel published. It's about this petite cop with a dubious history who's pure love redeems her undead ex-partner who regrets joining forces with demons. All similarities are PURELY COINCIDENTAL, and he will insist upon until until his second death. Or third. Whatever number is next.

-*rolls around a lot in Mills related feelings that she can't really put into words*
