I know, it makes me want to see them in another drama...in my world, he's Tsubaki's hubby in HYD and event hough it's an arranged marriage courtesy of the evil mother, they've made it work.

In the anime, azusa wasn't OTP so much as the one he hit on slightly moreregularly than the others...and unlike drama Azusa, he(and students) would always walk all over her. And I liked how, in the drama, she was the only teacher the students liked, whereas in the anime, she was just another teacher.
