Who the heck is Rubela?  I keep seeing mention of whoever it is, usually in referrence to Jo being better.  Is she some one night stand of Dean's later in the season or something?

And just to avoid breaking my trend of having some sort of Dean to look at included, a Jo/Dean vid.

I was trying to avoid flat out shipping them, but...I CANNOT HELP IT!  Anytime it's a ship where she likes him but he has too many problems/issues for it to ever happen so he categorizes her into a "safe" relationship where he will never ever touch her means that I am a total and complete goner.  Other top ships that strictly or loosely fit into this are Mal/Inara, Chris/Mary, Dresden/Murphy and Alec/Asha(NOTICE A TREND!!!!!)  Not that they're all there is...I'm especially a goner when he will sleep with anyone else who comes along because they don't really mean anything(though it rather sucks to be those other women...)

It doesn't help that the fandom name is a pun for a virus, no.

I admit, my fondness for Jo makes it very hard to not join them.

I know, right? It's like, "Noooo. Don't make me side with them. I don't want to side with them!"

Yes, it's like "nnnoooo...they're the ones who stole Jo from me!"(even though I have the 1 Jo ep left...that I have complete spoiled myself for, including bits from a scene that breaks my heart...)

It's just...Jo looked a bit dolled up in her promo pics, too, but they were nothing to the same degree.

The thing of it is...when I heard about Jo and Ellen...I was cautious, but thought they sounded like a good idea. Ruby and Bela...don't. They sound like what fans were afraid Jo would be. Jo only takes up a little time each ep she's in, just like Ellen...No Exit aside(where she still didn't take up much more airtime than your average guest star) she's only there enough to establish a connection wit the brothers and a sense of familiarity. From what I hear though, the new girls will be far more prominent, and be much closer to lead characters.

See, the malicious part of me is all: "SEE! Look what happened! You didn't even give Jo a chance and now your greatest fear is about to come true via someone(s) else!"

But maybe we'll be proven wrong. Who knows? Maybe Ruby and Bela will be awesome. It's hard though because I'll be measuring them against Jo.

Yes, my malicious part says the same...I just hope the fans Kripke listens to are the ones saying Jo is better...

It will be really, really hard to keep from measuring them against Jo...whether you view Jo as purely a little sister figure or ship her with Dean(or are like me and do both...) she's an excellent foil for the brothers and worked well with them. These new characters sound a little overbearing for the show.

We're at the same place, then. I haven't decided whether I'll be watching disc 4 or a movie when I get home. I think disc 4 is winning, though.
