Patriotic Knights: wuxia heroes shouldn't let other wuxia heroes wander around unsupervised
Up to episode30 of this, and I have come to the conclusion that Li Nan Xing(Wallace Chung) absolutely SHOULD NOT let Jin Zhu Liu(Chen Long) out of his sight for more than 5 minutes.
An unsupervised ZL will:
1.Constantly come to the defense of Hong Ying, the sister of the Very Evil Bai Dao, leader of the Very Evil Liuhe gang. As all the other heroes believe her to be working for BD, this will often lead them to believe that ZL is in cahoots with BD, and having grown up on a desrted island, ZL will not understand the necessity of properly explaining himself(please note that ZL's father's junior can only jump in and help so many times...)
2. ZL will don a variety of disguises(as he is played by Chen Long, he will manage to look good while in these disguises, but that's irrelevant) to sneak into various places. This will actually work out pretty well for him, however, NX may be forced to do the same to go help him at the last second...if so, he shall look EXTREMELY MORTIFIED AND ASHAMED OF HIMSELF until it's fighting time(at which point, thedisguise will be gone within 2 seconds)
3. ZL will accost HY's wedding caravan as her brother is taking her to marry(against her will, naturally) her Evil Fiance and attempt to take on the entire Liuhe gang. As he is not Yuan Chengzhi(and for that matter, HY is not Wen Qing Qing) this will not work so well for him. He shall only live because when given the option of shattering his heart into a million pieces or watching her brother's men chop him into little pieces, HY will choose the lesser evil.
4. ZL will interrupt the wedding, but not look close enough to realize that BD has replaced HY with the Evil Shi San, thus resulting in his trying to rescue the Very Very Wrong Woman.
5. Most importantly, after sneaking into the Liuhe compouncd to declare his love for HY, ZL will:
A) Be captured.
B) Be thrown into the dungeon and strung up.
C) Be whipped by Shi San.
D) Be tortured by Shi San as punishment for not begging.
E) Be beaten and struck mute(ACCUPUNCTURE POINTS!) by BD.
F) Be rescued(including comforting and clinging) by HY, resulting in escaping and running through the forest. You'd consider this to be a good thing, save for...
G) Be unable to explain that she rescued him when the other heroes(who don't like her) think she's the one who tortured him and made him mute, and want to kill her for revenge.
H) Be so traumatized by 2 1/2 episodes of shirtlessness and near shirtlessness combined with near nonstop manpain-physical and otherwise-that when he finally gets decent clothes again, he shall clutch them closed over his chest like there's no tomorrow.
Caveat: If NX is unavailable for supervising duties because he's busy turning into freaking Legolas and saving Yan Yan from Evil Poison Lady by firing 2-4 arrows at a time from his bow(that was not seen before or since-a pity, as it would give the heroes SUCH an advantage) in rapidfire succession, that's ok.
Please note that ZL's tendency to regularly get poisoned and injured is being ignored, as that's normal fare for wuxia heroes.
It should be noted, though, that ZL's wardrobe choice before being dressed by NX had everyone calling him "Little Beggar"(though I suspect the subtitlers mistook "young" for "little") It was only after meeting NX that he learned to dresss properly. I feel this alone makes regular supervision by NX absolutely vital.
Note: I would bring up HY's lack of supervision, but as you may have gathered, she's busy with Evil Brother and Evil Fiance. Saving your OTP from certain death(multiple times, often without him knowing) trying to keep yourself unmarried to creepy guys, plotting to murder your fiance on your wedding night and attempting to thwart your Evil Brother's Evil Plots can keep a girl busy...
