Moe and Tsundere?

So, in the last few weeks, [profile] calixahas explored the anime fandom more than I have in the last 5 years, and is now tossing words like "moe" and "tsundere" at me(specifically in the context of Chidori in Full Metal Panic being a tsundere and Tessa a more.)  It has been explained but I am still lost.

Help?

Oversimplifying: Moe are the adorable wide-eyed girls that exist to be protected, or to make the audience feel protective of them, and they can kind of ook me out. Tsundere (I think) are the ones who are brassy and get mad and yell and emasculate the boys all the time.

Well, I am far from an authority on this subject so maybe someone more knowledgeable will be able to explain and classify them better. Actually, 'moe' seems to refer to a whole array of beloved character types, so 'tsundere' probably falls under it... that probably didn't help with the confusion.

Tsundere (from TV Tropes Wiki, which has a fun anime section)

Moe (actually, Moe Moe, but I think the repetition is just an intensifier)

There was a whole moe explanation in one of the Ouran books (I think it was when they meet the little sister of the creepy guy)...

This is Moe (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moe_Howard).
