hmm...

I'm not sure it's a good sign when my reaction to Fullmetal Alchemist ch 78 is "ech, why are you back?" and my reaction to Bleach ch 303 is "ech, why are you still back, and am I supposed to find you interesting?"

But in other news, I am currently watching the first ep of Princess Tutu...Ahiru is quite darling and I am possibly already in love with...uhm...Fakir? I think...the prince's friend/bodyguard/whatever.

I probably wouldn't immediately love Fakir so much if the prince weren't so...boring. I mean, I'm all for "she saves him" stories, but I like both my damsels in distress and my heroes in distress to have some life and personality...

I think his is the only name I didn't learn in the first episode(well...and the cat dancing master...was that even said?)

The prince's name is Mytho. The first 13 episodes comprise the classic fairy tale arc but the second 13 episodes start doing the inversions. That's where Mytho starts getting at least a little more interesting. But yes, it's really Fakir we should be paying attention to here.

The cat dance teacher is Mr. Neko, although I can't remember who ADV translated that. Much like how I kept substituting Ahiru for Duck in my brain, I kept calling their teacher Neko-sensei.

Yeah, I keep using "Ahiru" instead of "Duck" from osmosis myself. I think Mr. Neko is just teacher in the translation.

Awws...Fakir is the first to clap after Ahiru and Rue dance...*susceptible to that when its the un-nice guy*

meanwhile, i think i like Rue.
