Yes, yes, yes and Sayo and her friend pattern all their sleuthing according to her favourite TV show of which we get flashbacks and especially the death scenes are acted out in all their glory ^^.

The manga is basically the same (maybe a bit more didactic in the volumes), but because it didn't advance Ran's story much (though it does advance Yuya and Miya) I stopped collecting after volume 5.

I like the anime better, I have to say (but it doesn't have the cute asides by the mangaka on fashion, etc.)
