Well...if you know nothing about the plot, I can see how you would assume it's one of those "neighbors who don't get along but eventually fall in love" plots...our knowledge of the plot makes the title seem darker than the words themselves are.
But yeah, The preview is all her and the new BF meeting and hugging and kissing.
I mean, it's not that the movie itself shouldn't be shown-spousal abuse is something that should get more attention, especially from the perspective of the abused breaking free, as opposed to the normal outside "savior"-it's the truly horrendous advertising.
