Yup. Especially since, IIRC, the movie opens with the implication that it's a perfect, happy idyllic-post-romance-movie-marriage...and then we learn that it's all a facade and is really a deeply abusive relationship where the woman is so terrified of her husband that she will fake her own death to escape him, because she knows he'll never let her leave him...and she's proven right.
