Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicle Vol 8-9
Fai continues to suppress unhealthy amounts of angst. Kurogane continues to be the only one with a fully functioning brain (not to mention that he seems to be noticing Fai's borderline suicidal tendencies.) Mokona continues to annoy.However, Sakura finally contributes something, and sayoran finally has a thought beyond "Sakura Sakura Sakura." Oh, and One Eyed Spoiler Boy has arrived. Yes, I will call him that for all eternity. Or until I'm 100% sure what to call him that isn't another nickname.
Spoilers will get you locked in a room with Mokona for a week.
Free of RPG Land, the gang ends up in a new country. While Fai and Kurogane go off to look for the feather, Sayoran watches Sakura, who somehow endears herself to me by complaining about how things always happen when she's asleep and can't help(note: Megan is starting to get slightly suspicious about the convenience of that) only to get caught in a trap and have Sayoran dragged off...by giant, talking bunnies who tie him up and want to burn him alive as a sacrifice to a beast that's attacking them. I am now convinced a member of Clamp is a vegan. Fai proudly displays his suicidal tendencies by offering to stay behind to be the sacrifice if the others don't come back after dealing with the beast. Kurogane is torn between "YAY! FIGHT!" and punching Fai in the face for suicidal tendencies, but the fighting wins. they learn the beast is...a giant whirlwind. Sakura talks to it. Literally. It lets them go, stops, they get the feather, and off they go.
Giant kidnapper bunnies who want to roast people alive and sentient whirlwinds. That's all I have to say.
After that Fai and Kurogane are separated from Mokona, Sayoran and Sakura and the two groups end up with opposing sect on a new world. One sect follows Yasha, a god of order, and the other Ashura, a god of peace. Later, they all get sucked into the world of the actual gods. Fai and Kurogane may be elsewhere though, dunno. Guys, half my brain was still on the bunnies during this.
However, Sayoran seems to be thinking a bit more about the bigger picture now, instead of just Sakura. When they're reunited, I'm sure Kurogane will be greatful, as being the resident battlenut AND thinking for 4 people and a yapping pork bun must be taxing. Fai, I fear, is far too lost to his angst to ever be useful in that regard. And Sakura is finally trying to DO things(occasionally with success) instead of just talking about how she wishes she could help.
Meanwhile, Yuuko and Reed same to be waging some sort of war over the gang. I think they used to date. Actually, they may currently date. Yuuko's the sort to think this would be normal in a relationship. It seems Reed wants to control what worlds they go to and only have them go to "safe" worlds, while Yuuko wants them to be free to go to any world, no matter how dangerous, but she can't until someone requests that she interfere with Reed's plans...which Ashura did. Since Yuuko is Yuuko and my limited knowledge of Cardcaptor Sakura tells me not to trust people named Reed, I shall assume it's for the best. Reed also seems to be able to use One Eyed Spoiler Boy to control Sayoran. *suspicious stare*
