Cardcaptor Sakura Vol 5

So, uhm…why, exactly, couldn’t they just tell Sakura that the old man was her great-grandfather?

Oh man…Sleeping Beauty with Sakura as the Prince and Syaoran as Briar Rose *ignores them saying “Aurora”*. With Tomoyo in charge of their costuming. And willing to use Yukito as blackmail material to make sure he goes on stage. Tell me why I’m not bothered by this (love it, actually) when I usually am by “boy is humiliated when forced to dress like a girl” drives me crazy as a trope.

And the play! The inability to act! Stomping! Actually stabbing himself! Enthusiasm meters! Sakura’s…energy!

Is anyone else amazed that Toya didn’t jump on stage to make sure there was no kissing? Or did Syaoran’s loss of nerve and the Clow Card serve as the only things to keep that from happening? At least until the post card-capturing hug and proper freakout.

I must say, they aren’t really being subtle about there being something Speshul about Yukito, are they? (Actually, I figure part of the crushes is not realizing there’s Something Speshul that draws them to him.)

And somebody is starting to wear his othercrush on his sleeve. *does some mass squishing for cuteness*

So, Light and Dark: Girlfriends: Y/N?

I re-read this yesterday so I could comment properly today (okay, and for fun/icons, but...)!

They'll explain it more later on, but it has to do with Nadeshiko marrying Fujitaka.

And if you think the blushing is unhealthy at THIS point...oh man, wait until you get to the SECOND part of the series. :D

Heh. Well, I'll be reading vol 6 in a little bit, but then I have to wait before I read part 2.
