Magic Knight Rayearth II Vol 2
In the Clamp mini-comic at the end, one of the Clamp members is bouncing around, begging Ohkawa for spoilers, which only causes Evil Hinting. This makes me more inclined to believe the theory I have seen posited that Ohkawa sits in front of her computer and googles “Clamp” so she can cackle as the fans drive themselves crazy trying to figure out what will happen next.
So, the scantily clad twins who hang all over each other can summon/create (not sure which) giant near-naked djinn who flex and then engage in battle by dancing with each other? Am I the only one who is made to Wonder at this?
Being Cephiro’s pillar seems to suck more and more. But then, I get the feeling that it always sucks to be the Important One in a Clamp manga. Though it makes me more and more confused as to why anyone would want to be the pillar.
I see Gardina has taken to trying to smother Hikaru with her breasts every time they meet. I think she’s just giving in to the urge Yuuko feels any time she sees Syaoran and/or Sakura.
And Umi now carries around treats for Hikaru in case she gets sad and/or hungry/ That is so cute. And…er…mommy-ish. (And supports my proto-Kurogane/Fai theory!)
I have to say that I can’t really get behind Eagle’s “to save my country I will half-deliberately destroy another and betray a friend’s trust to do it” thing. Makes sense in the story, but not a big thing of mine. I am very amused, though, that he and Hikaru now do Important Staring. If this were a longer Clamp manga, Hikaru/Lantis/Eagle would totally be one of Clamp’s big OT3 things. And I’d probably get over my “Lantis! She is too young for you to be looking at her like that!” and completely fangirl Hikaru/Lantis. Then feel Very Very Strange about it. Did he even actually need both arms when he was carrying her around after she passed out?
