Well, all the elements (organ exchange, power exchange, eye loss, power in eyes, extracting power through the mouth) are pretty common and you'll find at least one in most manga with magic themes (oh, hai there, Arm Exchange of Great Import in Claymore) so there's no real stretch to have them all at once.
