I tend to think Kyohei knows how he feels. He just has too strong a sense of self-preservation to let on. Sunako, though, is still in denial land.

every once in a while, we are gifted with vague semblances of a plot, like looks into their backgrounds and Sunako's relationship with her aunt and how much better she does in society than she did originally, but mostly, our plot is the mangakas list of annoying tropes and cliches to kick in the face.
