2. I have realized that "save the cheerleader, save the world" doesn't mean "save the cheerleader so she can help save the world," but rather "save the cheerleader so that guy who eats BBBRRRRRAAAAAIIIIINNNNNSSSSSSS won't effectively become immortal." Sad now.

I am strongly willing to dispute this once you've seen the end to season 1.
