Wallflower has a nice kick to the face on the "can't cook" trope: the heroine is the type who usually sucks at cooking, but she's an amazing cook. And she's a good cook not because of any angsty or touching backstory or a need to impress someone or be helpful: she likes to cook, so she cooks.
