another MI-5 question

I suspect the answer is "very rarely" given the people who recced this to me, but how often to women get their hands and faces dunked in acid before being shot in the head (or some equivalent horrific demise) in an attempt to get their bosses to give up information?  (That she made a sexual misstep by trying to initiate sex with said boss earlier in the episode doesn't really help how that came across.)

Also, is Zoe played by Keeley Hawes?  I'm too lazy to check and have only seen Hawes in period dramas before.  Also, when does the woman who I'm told can kill people with pens show up?

That's the only instance that I recall. Though a lot of people do die violently in this show, I don't think it's skewed toward women doing so. There are some instances of women in refrigerators, but also a lot of non-fridged women. That was also probably the single most graphic bit of violence in the entire run of the show.

Ros, who can kill with a pen, turns up in season five. And yes, that's Keeley Hawes.

Yeah. It wasn't so much that they killed a woman (I expect many deaths) but that it was the first major death, how she died, and what was going on with her throughout the ep all added together that made it stand out.
