I am beyond firmly convinced that Koo is Ren’s father. Not that I really think we’re supposed to have any other opinions at this point. But really, he’s basically drawn as an older Ren with different hair.
And, seriously, this whole thing is a plot of the President and Koo’s to get Kyoko so mad that she goes complaining to Ren so that he’ll come to Kyoko’s rescue? Well, they have Ren pegged, but not Kyoko. Girl will die before she deliberately asks her hero to get her out of a scrape. And, really, wouldn’t it be easier to just trick Ren into accidentally running into Koo in the halls or some such?
Kyoko and Koo’s interactions (especially the war over food and Koo daring to undermine Ren in Kyoko’s presence) were a hoot. But then, pretty much all of Kyoko’s interactions with other people are. Except some of the Reino stuff. But I think we all try to block that. Kyoko pretending to be a pre-adolescent boy is too precious. Especially with the 99.9% possibility that it’s Kyoko pretending to be Koo’s son Kuon, who is the Corn of her memories who is Ren, but only Ren knows all that. Though I wonder if Ren and Yashiro will ever recover from Kyoko pretending not to know them as part of Koo’s test.
Also…uhm…I’d rather Nakamura dealt with Kyoko and her mother than Ren and Koo? I’m just saying.
