It is possible that Adam Horowitz just cured me of the desire to continue watching Once Upon A Time

Unless, somehow, he's managed to not see a single scene related to the Regina and Graham plotline.

(I suspect now I'll really find out just how attached to certain characters I really am.)

Season 1 had a lot of good things, and some carried over into season 2, but a lot has been lost due to the show's commitment to introducing an endless string of scruffy white men. (Ratings started dropping about when they did that, but they don't seem to see a connection.) Not that signs of the linked fail haven't been there for a long time. Watching the scenes for the plotline in question, you wouldn't think they were meant to view it as anything but rape (which I suppose means that the actors saw it as rape even if the writers didn't) but pretty much everything related to the Rumpelstiltskin plot is drenched is misogyny and misogyny making men tragic/complex/romantic, and their take on Beauty and the Beast is straight up Stockholm's and abuse as True Love, and actively deprives Belle of agency at every turn (except that one time she read a book and was instantly more knowledgeable about Chinese mythology and monsters and how to beat them than the Chinese warrior tracking said monster.)
