(no subject)

 Hello, Dreamwidth and Livejournal.

After unintentionally completely dropping off for two months, I'm popping in to say I have successfully moved (Is the apartment nightmare over?  I don't actually know-despite having been there 13 years and all fixtures and appliances-and the carpet-being that old or older, I don't know if they're going to try to charge me for them replacing things they probably would have had to replace anyway.  After this last year, it wouldn't surprise me if they did.  But at least I don't live there any more.

House:

Unpacking is going very slowly, moreso than it probably should.

This is the main culprit of that, who you have seen pictures of if you follow me on instagram and/or twitter.:

She snuck onto my bed when she wasn't supposed to and is trying to remember if it was allowed or not.  (She was not.  She came to me with fleas and we weren't sure she was flea-free yet.  I had planned to do laundry that day anyway.

I got her a kitty house but she largely ignores it in favor of my footstool:

There has been some progress on the kitty house front:

This is what goes on pretty much any time I'm watching TV lately, unless she's napping elsewhere, or trying to bite my hands or feet:

She also goes into her carrier willingly:

Anyway her name is Toby (for October) and she's definitely a handful, which is not unexpected.

A lesser reason is that I've started making melt-and-pour soap.  Like any hobby, my few attempts so far have not turned out quite like I wanted (though in this case, it's soap, so even if it doesn't look right it can still fulfill it's intended purpose.  I might post some pictures after I make a couple more things.

What a tiny baby kitty! :D

By the way, do you still have books and manga for sale? All the ones I got before for my Little Library have gone out, so I'm looking to replenish my backstock.

I don't really care to bother with single issue floppies (too great a chance of them getting ruined) but am interested in graphic novels. I'll DM you with a list of stuff on your current spreadsheet that I'm interested in.

Congratulations! I'm not surprised unpacking is going very slowly, because it always does. I last moved seven years ago and I still have some stuff in cardboard moving boxes. But your house is adorable, and your kitten is even more so! :D
