Moe and Tsundere?

So, in the last few weeks, calixahas explored the anime fandom more than I have in the last 5 years, and is now tossing words like "moe" and "tsundere" at me(specifically in the context of Chidori in Full Metal Panic being a tsundere and Tessa a more.)  It has been explained but I am still lost.

Oversimplifying: Moe are the adorable wide-eyed girls that exist to be protected, or to make the audience feel protective of them, and they can kind of ook me out. Tsundere (I think) are the ones who are brassy and get mad and yell and emasculate the boys all the time.
