True Love is a drunken man raping his petrified employee on the floor of his bar

Just in case there were any doubts whatsoever that yes, one of Entertainment Weeklies "Greatest Fictional Couples of All Time" really DID begin with a brutal, 100% unambiguous rape, I have located the scenes on youtube.

Note the "you do this to me" talk, the crying, and the trying to leave, among other things.

I can KIND OF understand why she didn't just leave...she's very young(not even 18, iirc) and he's twice her age and her boss...by the time she realized she could be in trouble, she was too scared to try anything. But yeah, mostly it's the script. And, I'm sure, we're supposed to take her not leaving as subconscious desire.

And people don't just ship them...they're widely considered to be the best soap opera couple EVER.

And it's not just "women need to be raped to like sex" but "women need men to tell them what they want...by force if necessary."

Yes. And people still accept this and love it, even in these modern times.
