Basara review

[personal profile] salimbol  has posted a review in three parts of the first 10 volumes of Basara.  Spoilery for the death of a major character, but the character dies in Vol 3-4, and the death is crucial to the story.

Yay! You're pimping my post! But then, if anyone would you would; your love for Basara is well-known *grin*. I didn't actually intend to write so damn much, but before I knew I'd re-read the first 10 volumes and had - ahem - copious notes. I'll read the rest in smaller chunks, I promise.
Was that your icon I am using for the Basara posts? I don't recall taking any Basara icons from other people, but I have been collecting icons like a magpie for years and can't be sure.

It's so odd...I tried to like Basara really hard but about 7? 8? 9? volumes in just gave up. I wanted to murder Shuri too much to continue and the artwork really didn't work for me. I feel bad, because the story is something I totally could have gone for under other circs. Hmmm...

Btw, did you finish Legend?
