Super Dooper Important Brother Specialness Poll!

I should mention that one of these happened about 8 years ago, and the other 11-12 years ago.

[Poll #1278780]

*"Yeah, sure, AFTER I GET OVER THE PANIC ATTACK YOU JUST CAUSED! And we make phone calls."***

**Thirsty cute neighborhood girl. Hi-C was frozen. Microwave. Wiser older sister ensconced in bedroom reading romance novel and utterly unaware of what was going on until the fire alarm went off.

***Ok, in absolute fairness to him, I've been in 4 car crashes myself. Two my fault, two not. Really, we're just cursed.

Hi-C FTW.

*dies giggling*

Yeah, funny in retrospect. Very not-so at the times, though.

I chose the Hi-C (which I think is some sort of fruit drink - correct me if I'm being geographically challenged again) because the rolling the truck... that sounds quite normal. Where I work, it used to be almost a rite of passage to write-off a work vehicle...

[identity profile] meganbmoore.livejournal.com 2008-10-15 05:22 am (UTC)(link)
It's a fruit drink the comes in an aluminum and cardboard box.

The truck rolling is more the delivery than the rolling. It didn't even occur to him to check for broken ribs or arms or a head injury until he was ordered to take off his shirt and bend down. Much less that he needed to call the sheriff's department. "Oh, I killed the truck. Give me a ride to school?"

[identity profile] southerndave.livejournal.com 2008-10-15 05:43 am (UTC)(link)
The delivery would be normal around here as well... although in this case it's probably just the local habit of being deadpan about... fairly much everything. (For example John Clarke's one of the funniest people on the planet, but you have to actually listen to one of his monologues to realise how funny it is...)

I went with Hi-C.

[identity profile] foenix.livejournal.com 2008-10-15 11:03 am (UTC)(link)
That's a tough choice...

On the one hand, fire.

On the other, walking away from a crash.

Although, I have escaped several crashes myself, so maybe I gotta go with fire. ;)

The first one can be attributed to adrenalin. The second one...not so much.

I think what most impresses me is the fact that he actually asked you to bring him to school period. I can't think of any teenage male of my acquaintance who wouldn't have milked ANYTHING not to go to school for a day. :D

[identity profile] meganbmoore.livejournal.com 2008-10-15 03:14 pm (UTC)(link)
"Maybe if I show my willingness to go to school I WILL BE IN LESS TROUBLE!"

[identity profile] calixa.livejournal.com 2008-10-15 04:24 pm (UTC)(link)
H-Ci is flammable?

Hmmm.

One of the best kept secrets in the world!

[identity profile] sora-blue.livejournal.com 2008-10-15 04:56 pm (UTC)(link)
This is a tough one, as the HI-C involves fire which usually trumps all. But the other involves massive damage.

...did he break the microwave?

(PS OMFG TSUBASA NEW. YOU MUST READ AND SCREAM AT CLAMP WITH ME!)

[identity profile] meganbmoore.livejournal.com 2008-10-15 06:44 pm (UTC)(link)
Microwave was not broken, but had liquid everywhere. The car involved walking 2 miles home and asking for a ride to school like nothing had happened.

Is it 201 or 202? I like to let it build up to a few chapters.

[identity profile] sora-blue.livejournal.com 2008-10-15 07:01 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm going to choose the car accident.

It's chapter 201, but I imagine this week should have a chapter 202... so maybe by the weekend it'll be up as well.

It takes a special kind of guy to light Hi-C on fire!

AKA, the only of my parent's children to pass on the genetics so far.

[identity profile] nutmeg3.livejournal.com 2008-10-16 12:45 am (UTC)(link)
Hi-C? On fire? This story please to be telling now.

[identity profile] meganbmoore.livejournal.com 2008-10-16 12:51 am (UTC)(link)
Basically, the Hi-C was in the freezer, and he stuck it in the microwave "for a few seconds" to thaw it. Flames + spilling liquid...

A. May. Zing.

I love the fact that after rolling the car he was still concerned with getting to school :)
