So, is it over?  Can I poke my head out now?

(Am I the only one who wasn't really in either camp?  One was too conservative for me, the other not conservative enough.  Not to mention they both often seemed more interested in saying they had a point than the point itself.  Mind you, I don't think either would result in the downfall of the nation, either.)

ETA:  So many posts about celebrating in the streets and I have to drive home in an hour and twenty minutes.  *gets mildly concerned*  *lives close to college area*

Come on and just join us in our joy. He's a little too conservative for me too, but this is amazing and I think he will lay a lot of groundwork for a much more liberal future. You can't expect the whole country to jump to liberalism after having been very conservative for so, so long.

I favor a happy medium, really. (Cliche as it is, I think an Obama/Clinton ticket would have been best. It's not like she killed the country the first 8 years, and I think she would have helped balance him out.)

How would she have helped to balance him out? The only positive things I think she'd bring would be universal healthcare.

I was thinking more in terms that I don't get a feeling of self-control from him, and her experience.
