meganbmooreAmazon currently has the first 2 seasons for just under $20.00 each. Anyone want to try selling me on it in a non-spoilery way? (With a very strict interpretation of "spoilery.")
I'm curious about the ad agency aspect, but freely admit that my main points of interest are Christina Hendricks and the fashion. I've watched a few season 1 clips on youtube and am intrigued by some scenes of Joan and Betty (I think those are their names...maybe Betty is actually Peggy? I think there's one of each!), but I get the feeling that "professional women struggling in a male dominated field" isn't the central focus by a long shot. Actually, that seems to be the men in the agency. Which is fine, except that they seem to be rather sexist men (deliberately so, I suspect) and the idea of watching the professional lives of sexist men doesn't particularly appeal. (Note: impressions based on brief clips and bit gleaned from discussions I've stumbled across, not an informed opinion or casting judgment.)
