I've been trying to fight down my resentment and mistrust of Tim Burton (read: I'm still sulking over his butchery of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and trying to stop) but I never actually found the Mad Hatter very interesting. Alice is the point! Alice is my heroine! Also, I've been a bit barraged lately with the whole 'shoving the main female character to the background' shtick, usually to focus on unpleasant male characters, so I'm touchy on that subject.
