I thought I posted on eps 3 and 4 a week or so ago, but apparently not. I rather adore this drama, though it's largely Eun Soo's reactions to everything that's going on that elevates it from "like" to "love." (Though the visuals are also really really striking.) Episodes 5 and 6 have picked up the plot and pace a lot, though I didn't have a problem with that before. Also, while I'm not as big a fan of Legend as most are, I'm getting a kick out of all the Legend actors who keep popping up. (Though, it took me a bit to remember that Choi Min Soo was in Legend, as I mostly associate him with Warrior Baek Dong Soo.)

Spiky Haired Dude Whose Name I Can't Remember! Don't die! I am exceptionally fond of you and all your tumbling and 0_0 faces and "I ship it" giggles when Eun Soo is teasing Choi Young and all that.

Fire Lady Whose Name I Can't Remember is my favorite after Eun Soo, Choi Young, and Noguk. She's like Kiha's giddily evil twin. (And they really seem to want us to draw Kiha comparisons. I'm fine with that, as Kiha was the character that interested me most in Legend.) I pegged her as Choi Young's ex in her first scene but was kinda surprised to be right about that. Though, I can't figure out if she remembers their past or not? She doesn't act like it, but I can't really tell if she doesn't or if there's a nasty encounter to be revealed in a future flashback, and she really is the sort who would act like they were strangers just to mess with his head. OTOH, while she definitely had a sense of humor and liked to tease in the flashback, her current personality is a bit of a 180 from that in most other ways. Also, she appears to slash her ex-boyfriend and current surrogate-brother (who she possibly has pseudo-incestuous feelings for). I would ship her with Choi Young if Eun Soo weren't around. Maybe I'll indulge in some multishipping for this one. (ETA: And, err, apparently I suck and these are 2 separate characters whose actresses bear a striking similarity to each other?)

White Haired Dude Whose Name I Can't Remember kinda amuses me with how he's clearly there to look striking. Keep it up, dude. Gongmin's advisor is the only truly annoying character in this show and I want to shout "SHUT UP ADVISOR!!" every time he shows up. Gongmin's actor is decent but I don't care for him and he comes across as petulant to me in most of his scenes, even the ones where I can kind of see where he's coming from. Though I didn't want to yell "AAAGGHHH!" at him in any of his scenes in ep 6, so there's hope. Gi Cheul is really awful yet I find him a fun villain, and his expressions are great. I kind of wish history said Noguk took over and was an awesome single matriarch for decades.

Eun Soo is taking everything pretty well the last few episodes, but I guess after everything that happened in episode 2, it was that or run around the countryside shrieking until you passed out, and then rinse and repeat until you're standing in the streets, jabbering about the future. I love when she just RANDOMLY SPOILS decades of history. And her love for her vase. It was a precious trophy. Don't worry, sweetie, I'm sure Gongmin will give you another. And I hope she never stops calling Choi Young "Psycho." (Or teasing him about the mostly-false confession of love, even once it's real.)

Very happy Choi Young appears to be mostly over his death wish. For a while there I spent most of his scenes going "DUDE! LISTEN TO YOUR DOCTOR! EITHER OF THEM!" (Noguk also got a "DON'T DO THAT WITHOUT YOUR DOCTOR'S PERMISSION!" when she ripped off her bandage.) Having Gi Cheul essentially frame him for his rebellion is an interesting way to resolve that bit of history, but this poor little prince is probably not going to survive this. I still think the drama will end with Eun Soo returning to the future and Choi Young being reincarnated. That or deaged just before death and sent to the future.  Boy's also getting moore Yoon Sung-ish.  I can't disapprove.  That poor riot shield of his is about one blow from shattering, though.  Alas, poor anachronistic riot shield, you will be missed after your inevitable passing.

The Hwata reveal came earlier than expected, but I guess they knew we'd all assume that and wanted to get it out of the way.
