Yeah. I mean, I haven't watched the other movies in a while, but I recall he was basically inoffensive but dull, and only really interesting when he transformed (and we have a more fun character for that now) or tied into the mythology stuff.
And, well, he's a conventionally attractive white dude. Of course there were people gaga over him.
