Been doing lots of verifying this week, so not as much time to read...I think all I've read since Tuesday is about 1/3 of the(quite quite excellent) "Maze Agency" trade.
Stuff I watched:
Buffy: Season 3: Probably my favorite of the three seasons. Finally, Buffy and Angel work for me as a couple, as opposed to just as a story, and Willow has finally "settled." Also, Angel lost his whininess and the angst was more justified. And Faith and the mayor were a pure blast.
Forbidden Warrior: Not much to say about it. Enjoyable, but considering some of its themes, I think it dealt itself a fairly major injustice by making itself be a kids' movie.
Musa the Warrior/Sword in the Moon: I nice break from all the flying and swords being manipulted at the ends of 20 yards of silk like so many asian movies. "Sword" got a little too caught up in dark tension and grimness a few times(like, the first half of the movie) and "Musa" was a bit obsessed with the sand, even for a desert movie, but both were quite excellent.
Read this week:
In the "Holy filler issue, Batman!" category, we have:
JLA #124
JSA #81
Teen Titans #31
Witchblade #93-94
Wonder Woman #225
And for the rest of the comics...
Birds Of Prey #90: Dinah, does Ollie know about your kinky tastes?
Cannon Hawke #5/Soulfire Dying Of The Light #5: Oh, you're over?
Fables #45: wolf cubs...so, so, so very cute...
Firestorm #20-21
Jonah Hex #3
Manhunter #18: Most "HOLY BLEEP!" comic I've read in a good while(though that might change should i read young avengers #10 in its entirety)
Noble Causes #16
Shojo Beat #4-6
Shojo Beat Vol 2 #1-2: "Nana" is getting better, though ditz-Nana keeps it from being a fave, "Baby and Me" still has no place, "Godchild" is still good despite minimal knowledge of Victorian society, and "Crimson hero" is still far and away the best.
Usagi Yojimbo #90
