In this particular case(though most people seem to know why before I tell them this morning) they're cancelling Hawkeye with #8. This holds true to my history with Marvel, which is that any title of their that I like gets either cancelled or revamped, save for minis. Pft.

Had one of those "good" "team meetings at work." The kind where, when they call you for the meeting, you're on a call with a customer and by the time you get off, the meeting is over, so the supervisor pulls you aside and pretty much goes "we're having a problem with this...you don't have a problem with that. There's also this...you don't have any problems that, either. There's also this...yeah, right" and you basically get to spend 2 minutes hearing about how you're a good employee instead of hearing a 15 minute lecture that's not directed at you.

Meanwhile, I also had one of those really annoying experiences with a Door to Door salesman yesterday. For those who don't know, I enroll people with Reliant Energy, an electricity company here in Texas, and when D2D salesmen get people to enroll, they have to call us to do the actual enrollment. Well, I always confirm the terms with the customer before I take the information from the agent because we do run a credit check. Well, apparently this agent told the customer that he wasn't changing companies, just the billing, and once I explained to the customer what would happen, the customer didn't want to enroll anymore. So later the agent calls back and says that I was rude. ::Rolls eyes:: I'd only had one D2D call yesterday, so I was easily able to explain just why he would say that.

Been reading John Ostrander's "Superman: The Kents." Not as good as "Apache Skies" but even, even if it did take a little while to get going. Now, someone please explain to me just how Nathaniel Kent in the 1800s is a dead ringers for his alien adopted great great grandson...

Now, it's time to spread the pain and horror:

Just remember, sanity is overrated.

Most of the backissues I've bought off of ebay are here:

FIRESTORM vol 1 #1-5
FIRESTORM vol 2 #1-8
Wonder Woman 73,125-131,133,134,136-148,150-158
Wonder Woman Annual 7

Still have a few firestorm issues on the way, hopefully they'll be here today or tomorrow.

As your eyes are probably still burning from jabbing them out with hot pokers over that pic, I'll leave you in peace now.
