Waldenbooks: Buy 4 paperbacks get the 5th free(add in a 10% discount card)
Hastings: 30% off all graphic novels.
Waldenbooks sale ends the 18th, don't know when the Hastings sale ends, probably today or sometime next week. I do have to exert SOME control, though, because the Adult Literacy Council booksale is next weekend(not the coming one, but the one after....I hate saying "next weekend" on the weekend)
Pretty much have everything moved out to the storage unit, course, now my room looks all bare and empty...its depressing not being surrounded by books(granted, there are still plenty of books there, but...)
All the painting for the house is done, but now mom has decided that we need a new kitchen sink to go along with the new countertops in the kitchen.

::translation:
Shaddap: "It's your mother's fault, I just live here and do what she asks. Stop picking on me just because I'm a softie and wouldn't punish you even if you were still a kid." It also sometimes means "Don't rub my face in it, brat."::
Me: "When do you think she'll get it out of her sysatem?"
Dad: "Never."
Me: "This is all HGTV's fault, isn't it?"
Dad: "Yup."
Me: "Whose idea was it to get cable again?"
Dad: "Shaddap."
Me: "Well, at least some day I won't have to live with her anymore. You're trapped for life."
(he prefers it that way, trust me.)

She's also decided to completely redo my bathroom(I just helped her hang my new shower curtain a little while ago) It's now sponge painted...tanned solid with slightly off-white sponge part. My new mirror is circular with this giant 6-inch metal frame thingie(side note: They paid $100 for it...the original price was $260 and the original sale price was $200. Yikes...) Another part of this is brand new knobs on all my draws. But dad has lots of jobs to do because of all this so I've only had 1 drawer with a knob on it and the other drawers have been knob-less all week.
::insert conversation this morning with Dad about it--because of our work schedules, I don't see him during the week.::
Me: "Dad, why don't any of my bathroom drawers have knobs."
Dad: "Shaddap."
Me: "Mom's fault?"
Dad: "Remember, she is a blessing and we're lucky to have her."
Me: "Uh huh."
Dad: "On a daily basis I don't know whether to treat her like an angel or strangle the doo-doo out of her."
(uh huh. Like he'd do that...)

Also tried to read Bendis's "Goldfish" this week, but thought it was too broring to stay with with all he reall goodlooking unread stuff waiting for me.
