They have to be. Otherwide, they wouldn't be lying in wait for me at 11:30 pm the last 2 nights, just waiting for me to drive home so they can dash across my path.

And we have bees. Again.

And my rearview mirror fell off when I got home from town a little while ago. Never mind that it survived my amazing calisthenics while I was trying to get to my umbrella at the mall(it was in the back seat, under stuff, just barely behind my seat) If it had fallen off THEN Mom could have gotten me the kit when she went to wal-mart and I could have paid her back...

School monday. Ech. No more assigned reading lists because it's "read what I have time for" now that school's back...

Books for the week:

BLADE OF THE IMMORTAL: MIRROR OF THE SOUL v13
FAERIES LANDING v1
FOUR CONSTABLES v3
JUSTICE LEAGUE INTERNATIONAL ANNUAL #1
JUSTICE LEAGUE QUARTERLY #5-9
LONE WOLF AND CUB TRADE PAPERBACK 10-11
SANDMAN: KINDLY ONES v9
TOMB GN

Read this week:

FLIGHT GN
League of Extraordinary Gentlemen v2
Marvels TPB
Nausicaa v3
NEW GODS(1989) #1-28
PET SHOP OF HORRORS GN #2
QUEEN & COUNTRY: OPERATION BROKEN GROUND
Ranma ½ v7
Rebirth v3
RUMIC WORLD TRILOGY TPB #1-3
SANDMAN v7: BRIEF LIVES
Tom Strong v1
Ultimate Spiderman v10
ZENDRA: HEART OF FIRE

Random commentary:

FLIGHT GN: Like most anthologies, this was a bit of a hit and miss. But there were more hits than misses. I really wish there had been a story of the scene that’s on the cover, though.

League of Extraordinary Gentlemen v2: I feel…uhm…disturbed after reading this. Yes, that’s right…“disturbed” is a good description.

Marvels TPB: Quite the good book. However, the first arc was so good and so complete in and of itself(a story about Marvel’s golden age, while the rest is about Marvel’s silver age) that the rest of the book just seemed superfluous. As an aside, in the last issue, the main character’s older daughter looks quite a bit like me at 15…just add a few freckles and red tints to the hair. I even had glasses like that…

Tom Strong v1: Tee hee. This was fun. And pulpy. And modern-victoriany. And non-superhero-superhero-y. Will be getting the rest.
