oh dear....
Dec. 26th, 2004 03:19 pmWatched the documentary that was on the Wonder Woman DVD set last night and...
"WONDER WO-MAAN! Doo doo doo doo doo doo doo doo da da da da da da da da..." they kept playing that much of the theme song at every cut and now it's stuck in my head...granted, there are worse things to have stuck in your head...
Interesting tidbit...they kept showing pictures of WW from the comics...and about 85% of them were post crisis and the show is about the pre-crisis WW...y'know, the character who no longer exists...and the only comic creator they spoke with was Alex Ross(did have Les Daniels, though)
Aside from that...finished watching Escaflowne(kept wanting to change the noses...) and it was pretty good...but between it and Junction 17, I think Shannon is trying to seduce me over to the side of Mecha...watched my Prince Charming DVD...I love TnT's fairy tale movies...Christina Applegate basically replyed her character from Just Visiting(cept this one had more self confidence) but she plays that character quite well, it also had Bernadette Peters, one of those actresses I rearely get to see any of but always love when I do...then I watched the first ep of Inu Yasha...very good, most of the eps I've seen were the middle to near end of season one and bits of seasons 2-3...was a couple minutes longer than most anime eps I've seen...but then, I've been told that they cut some stuff out for the TV eps(like the openning credits, which I rather enjoyed)
Read the "Thunderbolts: Marvel’s Most Wanted" TPB...interesting reading for any TBolts fan...specifically for Kurt Busiek's intro about why he chose each team member. As far as the individual tem member's themselves...the Zemo and Moonstone issues were pretty good, but Songbird and Ficer were both pretty much after thoughts in their issues...Atlas's was stuff I'd seen recapped or flashbacked enough times that I felt like I was just rereading it, and Beetle's intro was almost forgettable. Good reading just for superhero fun-ness, but not a reread book.
