first of all: got the insurance checks for the car booboo 2 weeks ago...they have my name spelled "Magan"...
::rolls eyes::
minor, yes, but...
second: the people at my campus are lazy bums.
exhibits:
(today)
A) While I'm parking to make my tuition payment, a man gets in his car and drives to the next building. There a sidewalk with 15 feet of grass on either side between the buildings.
B) You are required by law to always ask to see identification when someone pays by check or credit card. Because most people don't bother, I leave my license # off of my checks, as most stores have to have the number to process the check, the cashier then HAS to look at my license. Hand the woman at school my check AND my license. Doesn't even LOOK at the license, just hands it back to me and asks me to write down my license, DOB, and phone #. I do it very, very slowly. Oh, and the phone number was already on there...
(in general)
C) Students would rather drive around and block traffic for 20 minutes to find a parking spot than park in the half empty parking lot where the the longest walk to a building is seven minutes...this is with my having shorter legs than most other students. It's not hidden, either, as it's right on the street, and at least half of the students have to pass it to turn onto the street in the middle of campus to get to the other parking lotys. Mind you, I don't object to this too badly, as it means that I never have to look for a parking spot.
D)Students will get in their cars to drive TWO BUILDINGS over, to avoid walking it. Two semesters ago, a girl who was of the "friend of a friend" variety and I walked to out cars together, when I remembered she said she was going to the administration building. I mentioned it, as we had just walked 30 feet in the opposite direction and it had been her idea to walk together. She said she was going to drive over, as it was too far to walk. Took me only two minutes to walk it before class that day(another tuition day)
Mind you, I don't exercise and am not an environmentalist or anything, but man those lazy bums waste gas...
