well, THAT was a new one...
May. 7th, 2006 10:12 pmpreliminary: people in this town are weenies. Put a couple of grey clouds in the sky and the streets and parking lots are empty...oh well, meant a shorter wait at Arby's(of course, it meant NO mild at Popeye's because they were slow and didn't have any made up, w/ it being less popular...or something...just know I wasn't able to eat there, as there are only a few occassions where I willingly eat spicy food)
Main event: Getting manga this week, I accidentally bought a duplicate of onwe that was in the backlog that I hadn't gotten to yet(oops!) so, took it back to Hasting's and got store credit, as it's easier. Browsed. Found a clearance rental copy of BBCs recent "Bleak House" series, which I'm told is good, for $10...$10.81...store credit was for $9.69...
cashier: "There's only $9.69 on this...did you still want to use it?"
HUH?
Never had that one before...I have had occassions where they would ask if only a few cents would be left, given the silliness of carrying the card around for small change, but isn't the whole point of cards w/ store credit to REDUCE the price of what you're getting?
I dunno...just seems odd...
